2、FAKRA connector structure
2.1 The overall structure of board-end and harness-end connectors
A common FAKRA connector consists of a plastic shell, an outer conductor, a centre conductor, an insulator, a crimp sleeve (harness end connector only) and a secondary lock (harness end connector only).
2.2 Secondary lock, colour + mechanical error protection
Secondary Lock: Ensures that the terminal is mounted in place and increases the retention of the terminal. The secondary lock is usually purple.
Colour + Mechanical Misalignment Prevention: There are structures designed to prevent misalignment at the mating interface of the connector, with different coloured plastic shells for different misalignment prevention structures.
